Former Šeškinė cinema theater, designed by G.Dindienė. One of the busiest areas in Vilnius: the plot is located in between noisy Ukmergė motorway and calm inner street of Šeškinė sleeping district. The surroundings are constantly changing due to the ongoing constructions.
The plot is located next to Ukmergės motorway, so the building will be observed mostly from the moving car as well as from distant viewpoints, therefor we pay a lot of attention to the silhouette of the building. The old cinema building is preserved while the new annex sprouts out of it as a laconic volume. bright red that is relative to he red bricks of the old building theatrically highlights the building in its surroundings.
The building is overlooking the street as a periscope. Former cinema building is adjusted to house filming studios and manufacturing spaces while the annex is dedicated for administration. Interior is moderate and visually technical: the wiring and piping are exposed.
